Honoring a Veteran

August 11, 2007

A small ceremony was held at the Post for Paul Mc Guffie.  Chaplain Mike Mc Call, and John Rizzo presented Paul with the Vietnam Gallantry Cross w/Bronze Star for his heroism in the 1986 TET offensive.  He was part of an Artillery Unit at Hong Tra on the 24th of February 1968 where under heavy enemy fire he counter attacked with artillery, and the enemy withdrew with many causalities.  He also has a Purple Heart.  This Bronze Star was received 39 years after the event.
